Lee McCormack began his calling career in San Diego, CA in 1959 and shortly was calling five to seven nights a week throughout the Western States, Mexico, and Hawaii. Activities included many special dances, conventions, and festivals, along with regular club dances. His recording of square dance singing calls began in 1964 with Hi Hat records and included several best sellers. In 1980 he began a 16 year affiliation with Rawhide Records and again had many successful recordings. In addition to records McCormack also hosted his own seven nights a week one hour live television show featuring square dancing, interviews, talents, etc.
McCormack moved to Mena, AR in1976 and continued calling in many states along with six clubs instate. He retired in 1995 and he and Cathy decided to become winter Texans. After a short time in the Rockport area they realized they had found "their place" and purchased a residence where they have a garden, orchad, and Cathy's Plants.
The McCormacks are looking forward to a long association with the Ocean Waves and The Friendly Squares.
