The Friendly Squares was organized in 1947 as "The Friendly Club".  The first President and Caller was C. B. Buthrie.  Over the years the Club has danced at several different locations and has had a number of Different Callers.  The length of time the Club has been in existence is a testimony to the popularity of the activity, and the quality of the Club Officers who have served over the years.

In February of 2009 the Friendly Squares and the Yellow Rockers merged to become the Friendly Yellow Rockers

Our Caller is now James Laurel and His lovely Taw is Mary Lee Laurel.
