Shirley Skewis's Easy Hula Chicken
| 1 Chicken (cut into pieces)
1 (12 oz.) jar of apricot jam 1 Small bottle Russian dressing 1 envelope Lipton's onion soup mix |
Place chicken pieces in bottom of 13 x 9 baking dish
Mix all other ingredients together. Pour over Chicken Cover with foil and bake at 300 degrees for 50 minutes. Serve over Rice. |
Marlene Lackey's Creamy Fruit Salad *
| 1 9 oz whipped topping (partially thawed)
1 pkg (3 oz) red strawberry flavored dry jello 1 can (8 oz) crushed pineapple - drained 1 pint fresh strawberries, cut up |
Mix whipped topping and dry jello.
Add fruit Refrigerate. It will keep for several days. You can create your own flavors. You can use a can of mixed fruit instead of the fresh fruit if you like. Robbyn Birnbaum's Not Yo Mama's Banana Pudding
| 6 - 8 Ripe Bananas
2 cups of milk 1 8 oz softened cream cheese 2 bags of Pepperidge Farms Chessman Cookies 1 5 oz box French Vanilla Pudding (instant) 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk 1 12 oz tub of Cool Whip

Line the bottom of a 13 x 9 pan with cookies - set aside
In bowl, combine milk and pudding (use pudding box instructions) - set aside Slice bananas and place on top of cookies In another bowl, mix the cream cheese and condensed milk until smooth and well blended. Fold in the cool whip. Then fold in the pudding mix. Spread combined mixtures over the bananas, then place another layer of cookies on top of pudding mixtures. Refrigerate, covered until ready to serve. |
Gwen Mckinley's Lime/Lemon Jello Saled
| 1 cup of boiling water
1 sm box of lime jello 1 sm box of lemon jello 1 can of condensed milk (Pet, etc.) 1 cup cottage cheese 1/3 - 1/2 cup of Miracle Whip (do not use Mayo) 1/2 - 1 cup chopped pecans

Dissolve Lime/lemon jello completely in water.
Add milk, Miracle Whip, and cottage cheese. Whisk to break up Miracle Whip and Cottage cheese. Add Pecans & pour into bowl. Refrigerate. This salad will set in about 2 hours after refrigeration.

| 1 can Salmon
1 8 oz pkg softened cream cheese 1 Tbsp lemon juice 2 Tbsp grated onion 1 tsp horseradish 1/4 tsp salt 1/4 tsp liquid smoke 3 tsp parsley (flakes or freshly chopped) 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Remove large pieces of bone from the salmon.
Mix salmon with all other ingredients (except parsley & pecans). Let mixture set in refrigerator for an hour or more. Remove and form into ball and roll in mixture of parsley and pecans. Served chilled.

| 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
3/4 cup lemon juice 1 20 oz can crushed pineapple (drained) 1 16 oz can whole berry cranberry sauce 1/2 cup nuts (preferably pecans) 1 8 oz container of whipped topping

Mix all ingredients except topping in a bowl.
Fold in Whipped topping. Pour in a 9 x 12 inch container and freeze. Remove from freezer about 5 minutes before serving. Makes 12 large servings. |
Guy Webster's "Got a minute" Casserole
| 2 cans of tamales
1 1/2 lbs Ground Meat(extra lean) 1 can whole kernal corn 1 can stewed tomatoes 2 1/2 cups grated American cheese 1 small onion chopped Chili powder to taste tobasco sauce...to taste |
Peel shucks from tamales.
Arrange tamales for bottom layer of casserole Brown ground meat with chili powder and tobasco and season with salt and pepper Pour meat over tamales Drain wholle yellow corn for next layer Drain (well) stewed tomatoes for next layer. Top with thick layer of grated cheese Bake 40 minutes at 400 degrees or until cheese is browned well. set tobasco suace bottle on table. Sprinkle top with fresh chopped onions prior to serving
